If you are playing scattergories in groups, I would highly recommend setting the timer for a little bit longer than if each person was playing individually. This way, each person on the team can have a say in their answer suggestion, without things being too rushed. After the time is up, one member from each team will read out their group answer for each of the categories.

If there is another team that has the same answer as them, both of the teams must cross that category item off of their list.
