All Sign in options. Active and disconnected sessions are calculated in this connection limit; the Administrator account is not exempt from this connection limit. The console session, however, does not count against the connection limit. To resolve this issue:. Log on to the Terminal Services-based server locally. Click the appropriate Terminal Services-based server. Note the Users Tab in the right pane.
A reset also accomplishes this goal, but does not save profile changes. If you cannot gain access to the console on the Terminal Services-based server, you may have to ask someone to log off. If there are disconnected sessions, you can log on to those sessions. If you cannot access the local console, you can run the Terminal Services Administration tool from another computer. In Terminal Services Administrator, click your server, and then click the Sessions tab.
Right-click the disconnected session, and then click Reset. NOTE : All data not saved in this session will be lost. I too have encountered this problem. We have previously purchased additional licenses for our servers 5 licenses each per server.
Is there a workaround? Regards, Dave Patrick Office Office Exchange Server. The default policy globally denies access during all hours and covers all users, but you can modify the policy to enable access rather than deny it. However, this is just one of two tasks needed to enable remote access for a user.
You must also modify the user's account properties. To modify these properties, open the Active Directory Users And Computers console and open the user's account. Then, click the Dial-In tab. By default, the user account is configured to allow dial-in access. On the Dial-In tab you can deny access, specify call-back options, assign a static address to the user, and define and apply static routes. After you have set your preferences, click OK to apply the changes. For example, you might be using IAS to handle authentication for a dial-up concentrator.
If so, you need to configure remote access policies in the IAS console.
